PDC Ridgeland, SC Job Summary As a Parts Clerk at our Parts Distribution Center (PDC), you will take on more advanced responsibilities in parts inventory management and receiving & shipping. You will leverage your experience to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery to customers and internal stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities Receive incoming parts shipments, verify contents against packing lists or purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of parts inventory levels using computerized systems. Assist in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation. Pick parts from inventory based on customer orders or internal requests. Pack parts securely for shipment and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packing slips. Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely and accurate delivery of parts orders. Complete paperwork and data entry to record parts transactions, update inventory records, and maintain documentation of shipping and receiving activities. Inspect parts for quality and accuracy before shipping to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements. Manage parts inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies. Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages. Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and parts movement. Inspect parts for quality and accuracy before shipping to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Knowledge of inventory management software and proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in parts management or logistics is beneficial. Proven experience in parts management, inventory control, or warehouse operations within a distribution center environment. Working conditions Working conditions may include working outside of a climate-controlled environment for long periods of time. PPE is required while on production floors. Physical requirements Walking, sitting, standing, crouching, and lifting up to 50lbs.
