Parts Specialist Eddie’s Auto Service 204 Franklin Street, Kingston, TN 37763 Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ordering approved parts, managing the parts room inventory, providing exceptional service to customers, and supporting the sales process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and automotive service, along with excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities Assist service writers in identifying and selecting the right automotive parts for their needs. Maintain good working relationships with all vendors and negotiate to obtain the best pricing. Quote parts and provide the data on repair orders for the writers to sell. Review parts at delivery and ensure they are correct and accounted for. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained and organized effectively. Manage returns, cores, and credits accurately. Send invoices to the bookkeeper daily. Monitor labor credits and ensure timely payments for warranty work. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the parts display area. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service. Stay updated on industry trends and new products to better assist customers. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to parts or services. Requirements Experience in vehicle maintenance or automotive service is preferred. Strong skills in inventory management and organizational abilities. Previous experience in inventory control or retail parts sales is a plus. Must be extremely organized and have good time management skills. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Must have great attention to detail and be able to multi-task in certain situations. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
