SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Parts Runner is responsible for picking up and delivering parts, tools, supplies, and other items necessary for the efficient operation of the maintenance shop and office. This role supports the maintenance and administrative teams by ensuring timely transportation of materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and supplies from vendors to the maintenance shop and office as needed. Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records. Assist with checking in and organizing incoming parts and materials. Communicate effectively with maintenance staff and office personnel regarding delivery statuses and inventory needs. Keep assigned vehicle clean and in safe working condition; report any maintenance issues. Assist with maintaining inventory levels and storage organization. Support the team with general shop tasks, such as sweeping, organizing tools, and disposing of packaging materials. Run errands such as mail runs, office supply pickups, and other tasks as assigned. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required. Familiarity with automotive or industrial parts is a plus. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Good communication skills and professional demeanor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to routinely lift to 40 lbs without assistance Frequent travel in company or personal vehicle. Exposure to outdoor conditions while loading/unloading items. Periodic work in a shop environment with noise, dust, and grease.
