Job Summary As the Mortgage Pricing and Product Specialist at HOPE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our mortgage pricing strategies while also supporting the implementation and management of mortgage products. Your responsibilities will include producing daily mortgage rate sheets, optimizing pricing and margins, managing loan locks and registrations with investors, and supporting the mortgage team with product-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
Produce daily mortgage rate sheets to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of pricing information.
Optimize pricing and margins by conducting thorough best execution analysis, leveraging market insights and data-driven strategies.
Validate the accuracy of loan locks and meticulously register loans with investors to facilitate seamless transactions.
Assess risks associated with pricing decisions and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Monitor the performance of pricing strategies and initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Generate reports and communicate pricing updates and insights to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to mortgage pricing.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in mortgage pricing.
Propose innovative solutions and process improvements to enhance pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
Establish and maintain all pricing and rate lock policies and procedures, ensuring all loan locks and pricing decisions adhere to these policies.
Set clear pricing objectives aligned with the organization’s overall business goals, including profitability, market competitiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Support the implementation of new mortgage products.
Maintain investor guidelines and manage investor relationships.
Provide product support and training to the mortgage team.
Assist in managing down payment assistance programs.
Manage product-related special projects.
Conduct market and product research with an emphasis on community and affordable lending.
Other duties as assigned by the VP of Mortgage Products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
7-9 years’ experience in secondary market, products, mortgage pricing, financial analysis, or related areas.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in numerical calculations and data management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools.
