Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Auction Yard Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of our auction yard, helping ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly organized, moved, and maintained in preparation for the auction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely move, park, and organize vehicles or equipment in the auction yard. Perform inspections and document vehicle/equipment conditions as needed. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the yard. Assist customers, drivers, and other team members in a courteous and professional manner. Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines. Load/Unload incoming and outgoing trucks that contain various types of equipment, tools, materials, etc.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus, but not required). Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including forklifts, trucks, trailers, and farm or construction equipment. Familiarity with basic mechanical functions or ability to identify obvious damage or safety issues. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including occasional weekends or extended work days. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
