CMCO GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Marketing & Events Specialist is responsible for planning and executing cohesive marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional channels while supporting event planning and promotion efforts. This role combines content creation, campaign management, branch-level marketing, and event coordination—ideal for a versatile marketer with strong organizational, creative, and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas, which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change: Marketing Specialist (Approx. 80 – 85%) Assist in the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across web, email, social media, and print. Collaborate with the graphics team to develop high-quality visual content. Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Write, proof, and edit professional marketing copy. Ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and quality across all marketing materials. Manage content calendars and produce content for blogs, newsletters, emails, and social platforms. Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics or equivalent platforms. Conduct market and audience research to guide campaign development. Maintain brand integrity and alignment across all channels. Operate and update the organization’s website using platforms such as WordPress. Create and manage web pages, blog posts, and other content to optimize conversions. Lead the development of digital and print marketing materials, including: Website and social media content Statement messaging and envelopes Email campaigns and newsletters Branch merchandising and promotional materials Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Acrobat, etc.). Translate ideas into compelling, on-brand marketing assets. Maintain a well-organized creative library and catalog all final files. Manage marketing project timelines, setting deadlines based on seasonality and strategy. Conduct regular, in-person branch visits to ensure consistent branding and messaging. Adhere to all federal/state laws, internal policies, and procedures, including BSA and OFAC compliance. Perform additional duties as assigned. Event Marketing Specialist (Approx. 15-20%) Represent the credit union at trade shows, conferences, community events, and hosted functions. Partner with the Business Development Officer, internal teams, and external vendors for seamless event planning and execution. Promote events through digital campaigns, social media, and email marketing. Assist with event logistics such as setup, registration, and post-event communications. Track event ROI and compile post-event performance summaries.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

Marketing efforts effectively support the organization’s goals and brand strategy. Public relations and external communications maintain a professional standard. Compliance with all BSA-related and internal policies is maintained. Marketing performance and ROI are consistently measured and reported accurately. Effective collaboration and communication are maintained with internal departments. Uphold the credit union’s reputation and values in all interactions. Demonstrate commitment to the organization’s core values in daily work. Ability to travel (15-20%) within CTFCU’s footprint. Willingness to attend after-hours and weekend events when needed. Exhibits ongoing commitment to the enactment of our organizational core values; integrity, accountability, respect, member commitment, and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years of marketing experience, including some event coordination responsibilities. Strong project management and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to seamlessly operate web-based platforms (i.e., Microsoft Teams, WordPress, etc.) Proficiency with marketing tools such as Constant Contact or similar platforms.
