We are Hedgehog, an organic mushroom farm located south of Nashville. We grow high-quality specialty mushrooms (shiitake, oyster, pioppino etc.). Our mission is to bring the freshest and most flavorful mushrooms to tables across the southeast.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a part-time Product Demo Specialist to join the Hedgehog team! In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and executing food-tasting demos at grocery stores throughout the Nashville Metro Area on a weekly basis. This role starts with about 5 hours per week, mainly on weekends, with plenty of room to take on more hours as we grow together.

Responsibilities:

Running Demos at

Grocery Stores:

Set up and host a mushroom tasting station at local grocery stores once a week. Engage with customers, offering samples and sharing information about our products.

Cooking Demo Food Items:

Prepare simple, demo-ready food items that showcase our mushrooms (some cooking may need to be done in advance at home).

Transport:

Handle the transportation of all necessary demo materials, including food items and display props.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in customer service, sales, retail, or food sample demoing. A passion for food and an interest in mushrooms are a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you enjoy engaging with people and building connections. Ability to stand for 3-4 hours at a time, with a commitment to practicing safe food handling. Reliable transportation to various store locations.

Location:

This is an in-person role with shifts at various stores in downtown Nashville, Belle Meade, and Franklin.
