Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Leasing Agent to manage and direct our leasing efforts at 60 unit apartment complex in Phenix City, AL. This position is responsible for procuring leads, scheduling and conducting property tours, and following up on any prospective tenants. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, customer-focused professional with a sales or customer service background who is looking to represent our property in the best light and looking for an opportunity to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Leasing and Marketing Lead leasing efforts, including advertising vacant units, showing properties to prospective tenants, and processing rental applications. Work closely with the leasing team to meet occupancy goals and maintain high retention rates.

Lead generation:

assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing residents. Assist in lease negotiation and preparation of lease agreements as needed, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. Follow up with any prospective tenants on a consistent and scheduled basis Gather feedback from prospective tenants who do not end up leasing and relay to our management team – help improve our offerings and processes Work with our maintenance staff to understand unit availabilities and schedule move ins Prepare and present regular reports to ownership regarding leasing performance, occupancy, and tenant feedback. Promote good communication and relationships between residents, staff, and ownership.

Qualifications:

1+ years of leasing experience, ideally in multi-family residential properties. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multi task successfully Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, etc.) is a plus. Solid understanding of local housing laws and regulations. Experience with housing assistance including Section 8 helpful. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field is encouraged Ability to work some weekends as needed. Ability to drive / vehicle access
