Job Description

You will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of contracts, ranging from individual large agreements with Cities and Counties, Statewide contracts, and National Cooperative contracts. You will be responsible for monitoring contract compliance and tracking key milestones, such as renewal dates and expiration dates. You will also be responsible for generating reports on contract performance, including key metrics such as contract value, compliance, and risk exposure As the main point of contact for customers and suppliers, you will need to have excellent communication and analytical skills. You will be responsible for resolving any disputes that arise during a contract, ensuring that all parties are satisfied with the outcome. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for maintaining contract databases, tracking contract milestones and deadlines, and generating reports. You will need to have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates for this role should have a bachelor’s degree, along with relevant experience in contract administration in a related field. You should have a strong understanding of public procurement process and regulations, and compliance requirements. You should also have excellent communication, relationship-building skills as well as strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Overall, your contribution as a Contract Specialist will be essential to the success of Everon’s State and Local government business operations, ensuring that contracts are properly managed and all parties meet their obligations.

  • Essential Functions
  • + Manage all contracts within the state and local education vertical.

+ Requires a strong organizational skill, as well as the ability to manage multiple portfolios and ensure that all parties are meeting their obligations. + Administer state and national cooperative contracts, + Maintain + Review and audit sales estimates to ensure accuracy and adherence to contractual terms. + Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including state and local government officials, vendors, and other stakeholders. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documentation. + Provide regular reports on contract performance, including key metrics such as contract value, compliance, and risk exposure. + Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract management, including legal, financial, and reputational risks. + Ensure that all parties involved in the contract process adhere to the terms and conditions of each agreement. + Additional knowledge of the following contracts is a plus:

  • New York State OGS, State of New Jersey NJSTARS, State of Pennsylvania COSTARS, State of Connecticut DAS, State of Massachusetts Commbuys, CMAS, TXMAS and others.
  • + Strong skills working with Public Procurement. + Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks. + Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner. + Completes other projects to manager and customer satisfaction, as assigned.
  • _Required Competencies_
  • + Have a strong work ethic and be detail oriented. + Ability to read and interpret blueprint, schematics, diagrams, instructions, etc. as presented in English. + Ability to collaborate and communicate with internal and external teams and end users in English.
  • _Education, Experience, and Eligibility Requirements_
  • + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, contract management, or a related field.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration, preferably within the state and local education vertical. + Strong understanding of contract law, procurement regulations, and compliance requirements. + Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. + Experience with contract management software preferred. + Must present proof of ability to legally work in the United States. + Must have a valid driver’s license. + Must be able to clear a drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

You will work closely with other departments within Everon to ensure that all contract obligations are met, and contracts are executed efficiently and in a timely manner. To accomplish these tasks, you will work closely with sales teams. You will also work with legal teams to ensure that all contracts adhere to legal requirements and company policies.
