Leasing Consultant Position Summary:
ÂThe Leasing Consultant is responsible for responding toinquiries/leads from prospective clients to identify potentialrenters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordancewith Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines and provideexcellent customer service. Exhibits strong commitment to theservice needs of the internal and external customers. Representsthe company in a professional and courteous manner.Â
EssentialFunctions:
Responsible for ensuring the daily marketing,administrative, and financial operation of the property under thedirection of the Community Manager.  Maintains a strongunderstanding of the community and local market competitor’sspecials and floor plans. Have comprehensive working knowledge ofall aspects of leasing units and documents in accordance withCompany standards and Fair Housing guidelines.  Processes leaseapplication paperwork for the approval of the CM and prepares newlease contracts.  Inspects all target and/or show units inadvance and in preparation of greeting and touring new prospects.
Touring prospects may include, but is not limited to, vacant ormodel units and common/amenity areas of the property.   Inspectpre-leased apartments prior to the move-in date and promptlycommunicate any concerns to the Service Manager or CommunityManager. Understands, utilizes and promotes all third-party onlineleasing programs appropriately.  Ensure timely and accuratelogging of all prospect information and notifications into ourProperty Management software. Responsible for checking, respondingto and documenting community and individual emails, voicemails, andtext messages. Stays up to date with all promotion/leasingincentives.  Assist with completing Move Out Vacant InspectionChecklist (MOVIC) accurately and within the specified deadline perCompany standards. Post notices to vacate and other communitycommunication, if applicable. Assist with daily communityinspections to ensure community policies are being followed andaddressing, if applicable. Other duties as assignedÂ
MinimumQualifications/Skills:
Previous experience in acustomer-facing/customer service role  Demonstrated sales andclosing skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work with a diverse group of people  Where requiredby law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain therequired license(s) within the timeframe required by law Â
WorkSchedule:
Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary). Some overtime maybe required and ability to work extended hours includingâ??on-callâ? and/or participate in a rotating â??on-callâ?schedule as needed to meet business needs. Â

Continual movement including,but not limited to: standing, walking, bending, stooping,crawling, and climbing stairs. Operation of a motor vehicle onsite,if applicable.
