A established Realty Company is looking for anexperienced, energetic, and outgoing Leasing Consultant to work atone of its premiere apartment communities in St. Louis, MO.Candidate must have a good work ethic, positive attitude, andideally 2 years of leasing experience or experience in a similarindustry. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefitpackage, including a 401(k). The Leasing Consultant’s primaryresponsibilities are to answer incoming telephone calls, show andlease apartments to prospective residents, market the community tothe local area to build awareness, and assist current residentswith any inquiries they have.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Knowledgeableof required telephone and sales techniques.
  • Must be fullyinformed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and amenitiesof the property.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and either workwith the caller to help with their needs or direct them to the bestperson to assist them.
  • Show and lease apartment homes toprospective residents.
  • Market the community in the local area tobusinesses, merchants, schools, etc. to build awareness andincrease traffic.
  • Complete lease forms for new and currentresidents.
  • Insure the model and vacant apartments are ready forshowing.
  • Maintain work areas and office in clean and orderlymanner
  • Help monitor curb appeal of the property and makeappropriate suggestions to the Property Manager and/or MaintenanceSupervisor for improvements.
  • Thorough knowledge of lease terms,specifications, and all community policies.
  • Responsible for”shopping” competitor properties.
  • Continually monitor marketconditions to know what is going on with competitors or new eventsthat would affect the market (i.e. new apartment buildings beingbuilt in the area).
  • Will maintain contact with all apartmentlocator services and local businesses to provide informationalmaterial. Update periodically.
  • Develop full knowledge ofapplication information required, screening processes and policiesregarding rentals.
  • Develop and maintain an on-going residentretention program under direction of Property Manager.
  • Assistswith scheduling, organizing, and hosting tenant functions.
  • Planan active role in the current resident renewal process.
  • Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and propertyfiles.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating Leasing andProperty Information Handbook and Advertising Log Book.
  • Efficientand timely processing of all required administrative forms,reports, and related information.
  • Responsible for reportingunusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property orresidents.
  • Must be courteous and efficient in the handling ofresident requests and complaints.
  • Maintain a professionalappearance and attitude at all times.
  • Ability to seek educationalopportunities and self-improvement for personal growth anddevelopment.
  • Responsible for assisting the Property Manager andAssistant Manager with any other miscellaneous tasks conducted atthe community.
  • Gain full knowledge of the Assistant Manager’srole to assist when they are out or to accept a promotion when/ifthe opportunity presents itself.
