Job Summary:

The Associate Credit Portfolio Manager is crucial in managing loan risk by analyzing lease consents and loan documents to assess and mitigate risk. This role involves working within the Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area to ensure adnce to business standards and contribute to effective credit decision-making as it relates to leasing consents and requests for subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreement requests. The Associate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain robust credit portfolios and ensurepliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

Identify, review, monitor, abstract, and analyzemercial loan Trigger Events, including those related to lockbox and reserve springing impounds, deferred property maintenance, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) triggers, tenant credit ratings, and occupancy ratios.
Collaborate with vendors and other Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) teams, such as Customize Portfolio Servicing, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Asset Management, Real Estate Capital Markets (RECM), Multi-family Asset Management, Assumptions, Leasing, and Modifications, to address and provide guidance on trigger-related matters.
Proactively identify Trigger Events, escalate issues to Asset Management Teams, and conduct necessary follow-ups to ensure resolution.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis ofplexmercial real estate lease documents.
Address basic issues, policies, or procedures efficiently, focusing on low to medium risk tasks and deliverables.
Underwrite loans with aggregate credit exposure in accordance with approved credit authority limits when analyzing lease consent assignments.
Review, negotiate and approve Subordination, Non-Disturbance and Attornment Agreements formercial leases.
Operate under the guidance of a supervisor, exercising independent judgment while gaining aprehensive understanding of functions, policies, procedures, andpliance requirements.
Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including both internal and external customers, to facilitate effective portfolio management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in Commercial Banking Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpretplex loan documents and identify critical triggers.
Effectivemunication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding ofmercial banking processes and regulatorypliance.
