Associate Attorney, Real Estate Law Midtown Law Wilmington, NC 28403 Associate Attorney – Midtown Law (Wilmington, NC) Midtown Law is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our real estate law team in Wilmington, NC. This position is responsible for ensuring the seamless and legally compliant transfer of real property through title preparation, document drafting, and closing execution, while maintaining strict adherence to North Carolina law. We are looking for a dedicated professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited law school Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing with the NC State Bar Experience in real estate law is preferred but not required Strong legal research, analysis and writing skills Familiarity with real estate closing software (experience with Qualia is a plus). Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Nitro Excellent time management and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conducting title searches
- Reviewing and resolving title defects
- Drafting of legal documents necessary for closing
- Facilitating closing and coordinating with sellers, buyers and agents
Position Details:
- Full-time, in-office role (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Candidates should live nearby or have a reasonable commute to our Wilmington office
