The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing real estate closing transactions from contract to post-closing, ensuring all documents are accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner. This role is critical in facilitating smooth residential and commercial real estate transactions within the structure of a law firm.
Responsibilities:
Review purchase agreements, loan documents, and closing instructions for completeness and compliance. Compile required information from clients, agent and outside vendors. Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, agents, and attorneys to prepare and process closing packages. Draft and assemble closing documents, including deeds, affidavits, and settlement statements Ensure all documents are properly signed and notarized. Review settlement statments with clients and Real Estate Agents Communicate regularly with all parties involved to provide status updates and resolve issues. Maintain organized electronic and physical records of all transactions in accordance with legal and firm standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in real estate industry, preferably with in the legal environment. Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial closing procedures, process and documentation. Familiarity with real estate software platforms (e.g., Qualia, SoftPro, or similar). Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. Professional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate or legal assistant and/or training in real estate. Notary Public designation.
