Position Overview We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Settlement Manager for our Somerville, NJ OR Red Bank, NJ office. This is a full-time, in-office role, and includes the following duties: Review title commitments, identifying any items that must be addressed in advance of settlement to provide clear title, and distribute and communicate same to parties to the transaction; Obtain necessary information to prepare Closing Disclosure and ensure a smooth transaction, such as mortgage payoffs, judgment payoffs, final water/sewer readings, invoices, etc; Prepare documents for real estate closings, including ALTA, Closing Disclosure or HUD-1 settlement statement, buyer and seller affidavits, etc; Review court and tax judgments and identify those that must be addressed within the confines of a real estate transaction; Maintain electronic file of each transaction using Title Fusion or other title software platform; Schedule and coordinate closings with settlement clerks; Communicate with all parties to the transaction throughout the process, from order to closing, including buyers, sellers, attorneys, realtors, and lenders; Contribute to team effort to close real estate transactions while achieving highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Skills/Qualifications:
Candidate should be highly dependable with excellent organization and communication skills, and demonstrate commitment to superior customer service; Ability to multitask and prioritize activities, and work well with others; Qualified candidate should have a minimum of 3 years experience in real estate as a title clerk or paralegal, licensed Title Producer preferable
