Job Description:
A Leasing Consultant is responsible for managing all aspects of the leasing process, from initial contact with prospective tenants to the signing of lease agreements. This role is pivotal in ensuring high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales:
Greet and engage with prospective tenants, providing information on available properties and leasing terms. Conduct property tours and highlight the benefits and features of the property. Follow up with prospects through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels. Achieve leasing goals and contribute to the overall success of the leasing team.
Lease Administration:
Assist applicants with the leasing process, including completing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying references. Prepare and review lease agreements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Facilitate lease signings and explain lease terms and conditions to new tenants.
Property Management:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the property market, including competitor properties and current rental rates. Assist with the coordination of move-ins and move-outs, including the inspection of units and ensuring they are in move-in condition. Address tenant concerns and provide excellent customer service to ensure tenant satisfaction and retention.
Marketing & Outreach:
Participate in marketing efforts to promote available properties, including online listings, social media, and community events. Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to generate leasing leads. Prepare and distribute marketing materials, such as brochures and flyers.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, tenant interactions, and property conditions. Assist with the preparation of leasing reports and market analysis. Collaborate with the property management team to ensure a smooth operation of the property. Qualifications Active Pennsylvania Real Estate License (required) High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Previous experience in leasing, property management, or real estate sales. Strong sales and customer service skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Working Conditions Primarily in an office setting within a residential property. Regular interaction with tenants, prospective tenants, and property management team. Some physical activity required, such as walking and inspecting units.
