Job Overview:

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Charleston office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in commercial real estate transactions and finance who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development projects. Counsel developers, investors, and lenders on real estate secured financings, joint ventures, and corporate governance. Negotiate and draft agreements for a wide range of real estate transactions. Advise clients on zoning appeals, property tax assessments, workforce housing agreements, and entitlement matters. Manage and close complex real estate transactions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the South Carolina Bar (or eligibility for admission). At least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law. Strong expertise in real estate finance, zoning, entitlement, and land use. Preferred experience in negotiating joint ventures and representing developers, lenders, and institutional clients.
