Real Estate Associate

With more than 120 attorneys, we encompass a broad spectrum of transactional and litigation practice areas for large corporations, small businesses, and governmental entities. We currently have an opening in the Charleston, South Carolina office for a Real Estate Associate.
This position is ideal for candidates with at least two years of experience in real estate and general transactional work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transactional processes, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
Success in this role requires the ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also essential.

Responsibilities:

Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating real estate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
Support senior attorneys in due diligence processes, including title reviews, zoning compliance, and contract management.
Conduct research on legal issues related to real estate transactions, land use, and property law.
Attend and assist in client meetings and negotiations, providing insights based on legal research and analysis.
Draft and prepare documents for closings, including real estate sale agreements, financing documents, and closing checklists.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external parties to ensure smooth real estate transactions.
Assist with compliance and regulatory matters, including zoning and land use regulations.
