Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
Leasing Operations:
Greet and qualify and build rapport with prospective residents, understanding their needs and preferences. Conduct property tours, showcasing available units and highlighting features. Prepare move-in packages and manage the full move-in process to ensure a smooth transition. Maintain accurate knowledge of current availability, rental rates, and upcoming vacancies.
Resident Relations:
Deliver outstanding customer service to prospective, current, and former residents. Address resident inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Foster a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the leasing office and throughout the community.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist Community Manager with leasing-related paperwork, including application processing and lease documentation. Collect and manage rent payments, deposits, and related documentation. Generate and maintain weekly leasing reports and performance tracking. Make regular inspections of the community and processes to ensure standards and procedures are upheld. Inspections include checking vacant units, rent-ready units, and reviewing files for proper documentation related to vacant and make-ready units. Marketing & Social Media Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts, including maintaining a social media presence and promoting the property to attract prospective residents. What you will need
Competencies and Skills:
Ability to meet and exceed performance goals. High attention to detail (accuracy) and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Organizational skills with the ability to manage leasing phases from application through least renewal. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Professional, team-oriented, and customer focused mindset.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business preferred, not required. 1 year of Leasing or sales experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) Licensed Property Manager in South Carolina, preferred but not required. Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
