The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a solid understanding of property management practices. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for facilitating the leasing process, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional service to prospective tenants. Your role will be crucial in maintaining positive relationships with residents and contributing to the overall success of our property management operations. Responsibilities Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants. Assist applicants in completing lease applications and ensure all necessary documentation is collected. Maintain thorough knowledge of property features, amenities, and rental terms. Manage tenant inquiries and provide outstanding customer service throughout the leasing process. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and facilitate repairs. Utilize Yardi software for managing tenant files, tracking lease agreements, and maintaining accurate records. Stay informed about local laws related to leasing, including Section 8 regulations and contract requirements. Support marketing efforts to attract potential tenants through various channels. Requirements Proven experience in customer service or a related field, preferably within property management. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and legal aspects of leasing agreements. Knowledge of Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients and team members. Background in law or legal administrative tasks is a plus. Understanding of facilities management principles is beneficial but not required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
