Marina Retail Manager Role Summary:
The Marina Retail Associate performs various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. All positions at Legendary Marina Gulf Shores are to be the ears and eyes of the facility in its entirety to make sure it is always up to “Legendary” standards. •
PART-TIME POSITION-MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS!
Essential Job Functions Provide exceptional customer service to all marina guests and boaters Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for retail and fuel sales Handle daily transactions, issue receipts, and maintain accurate cash drawer balances Track and sales and inventory reports Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally Monitor and respond to radios in a timely and courteous manner Assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store Stay informed on product knowledge to assist customers with purchases Support marina operations as needed Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous marina experience preferred. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements Prior experience in customer service or retail preferred Comfortable working with POS systems and basic reporting tools Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods Familiarity with the boating or marina industry is a plus Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset Key Competencies Key Competencies include a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Qualifications Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to work workdays, and during special events. License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years; forklift certified.
