Metal Shop Lead 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Hayden, AL 35079 We are looking for a self-motivated person to assist in leading our Metal Shop. Material Handling:
Changing coils, moving finished packs to racks and staging them properly, unloading coil trucks and documenting any damage and verifying the delivery matches the bill of lading. Programming jobs into the roll former and verifying that it is the correct length, color, and piece count. Entering/closing all jobs run in Access. Loading coils to roll former in a timely manner. Wrapping/banding of packs in a clean, professional manner and labeling packs before moving them to racks. Operating the roll former to maximize production. Catching defects in material during production to prevent them from reaching the customer. Keeping a clean and organized work area. Daily; confirm productions schedules are met and produced at the highest quality. Monitor and review schedules by 3 pm to ensure material is being produced according to the scheduled orders and send report out. Monthly; Ensure inventory is gone through on racks and shop monthly and old or unclaimed packs removed, restocked, and placed in discount area
COMPLETE BY END OF 1 ST WEEK OF THE MONTH
. Find ways to minimize waste and lost time. [Metal packs should be reclaimed and cut back inside of 30 days.] Assist in putting together procedures to assist in daily operations. This includes Safety, Quality, Production and Maintenance related processes. Assist in putting together procedures to assist in daily operations. Help to provide team members with tools and resources needed to complete daily job requirements. Track daily production numbers looking for possible up/down turns in the near future. Acquire additional hours/manpower when needed to meet production.
