The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. As a Store Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with their inquiries and enhancing their shopping experience. Responsibilities Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately, handling cash transactions and providing change to customers. Maintain a high standard of phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance customer satisfaction. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections and addressing their needs. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management. Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures. Handle cash with precision, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. Experience Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with customers. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic retail math is advantageous. Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus but not required.
