Patient and Guest Information Representative 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1600 7th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233 Job Summary Patient and Guest Information Representatives are the initial face of Children’s of Alabama. They are responsible for performing receptionist, patient information, and customer service duties within lobby areas at Children’s of Alabama.

Reporting Relationship :
Manager of Patient and Guest Information and Director of Volunteer and Guest Services Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet the public and assist with wayfinding. Manage guest and temporary staff badge and access needs. Screen guests before issuing badges and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained. Answer patient information phone lines and assist as needed. Coordinate delivery of patient mail. Act as a hospital representative and help connect walk-up donors with appropriate contacts in Child Life and Foundation. Assist in training new staff and volunteers. Maintain the physical appearance and safety of the lobby by observing and reporting concerns to appropriate departments. Information desk staff are essential employees and will be required to work during inclement weather, emergency situations, and holidays. Education High School Diploma or GED Experience Minimum of 2 years of receptionist or customer service experience preferred. Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries None required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and the ability and desire to work as a positive team member. Strong computer skills. The ability to deal effectively with problems and exercise good judgment when making decisions.
