Sales Associate Cash & Carry Building Supply 32 20th Ave NW, Center Point, AL 35215 Job Summary We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience, while building an ongoing customer base. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Duties Greet customers and assist them in locating products. Process transactions accurately using the cash register and Point-Of-Sale system. Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively communicate with customers. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays, and managing stock counts. Utilize retail math skills to assist in inventory counts and sales reporting. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance. Willingness to provide ideas and feedback in an effort to create a better experience for customers Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register or POS system (training provided). Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. A proactive attitude towards learning about products and sales techniques.
