Full Job Description Job Summary:
TravelCenters of America is seeking a motivated and experienced Team Lead to support day-to-day operations and ensure an outstanding customer experience. As a Team Lead, you will assist management in supervising team members, maintaining service standards, and driving performance across your assigned area.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations. Supervise, train, and guide team members to ensure exceptional service and efficiency. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, stocking, and merchandising. Handle customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all company policies and procedures. Open and close the store or designated area, following proper procedures. Help schedule shifts, delegate tasks, and monitor employee performance. Assist with onboarding and mentoring new hires.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; some college or management training preferred. 1-2 years of experience in retail, food service, or hospitality, including some supervisory experience. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Basic math and computer skills; experience with POS systems preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
