Store Associate – Part Time Jakin Mobile Home Supply 219 U S Hwy 231 North, Troy, AL 36081 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at Jakin Mobile Home Supply to help us grow our business. We serve our community by providing mobile home supplies and HVAC solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers and local contactors with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a key role in maintaining the store’s appearance and inventory levels while promoting our products through effective upselling techniques. Responsibilities Greet customers and assist them in locating products within the store. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean and well-maintained at all times. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations. Provide sales quotes for customers and ensure proper follow up. Collaborate with Store Manager to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance. Willingness to learn and expand on product knowledge including doors, windows, tubs, showers, HVAC equipment and more. Unload shipments from delivery trucks. Load merchandise into customer’s vehicles when needed. Deliver merchandise to customers when needed. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change accurately. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus. Ability to perform stock management tasks efficiently, including inventory checks and restocking as needed. Proven ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive shopping environment. Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs at any given time. Forklift certification and experience is preferred but not required. Must be willing to learn how to operator a forklift.
