Job Summary:
The Sales Associate II performs various retail support activities under moderate supervision. Receives, unpacks, restocks, prices, shelves, stages, and sells merchandise. Operates cash register to complete sales. Provides customer service to patrons. May train and provide work leadership to entry level Sales Associates.
Additional Department Summary:
Assists with most facets of the Supply Store’s Web and mail order operations. Assists with processing web/mail orders for the Store. Uses the computerized management system for processing customer orders through the web/mail order module or point of sale system. Assists customers with questions daily. Assists with inventorying the merchandise for the web/mail order department. Helps with supervision of student staffing for the web department. Will require some weekend & extended hours.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years or customer service or retail experience; OR associate’s degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge:
Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive customer service experience and skills in a retail environment that parallels the functions of this position.
