Wine Sales Associate Sipstirs Fine Wines Artisanal Spirits Craft Brews 203 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and sales, with the ability to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our clientele.
Responsibilities :
Assist customers with wine selections and provide knowledgeable, friendly service Ring up sales and operate the POS system efficiently Restock shelves and displays (must be able to lift and move cases of wine – up to 40 lbs) Maintain clean, organized sales floor and stockroom Help with monthly wine club packaging and preparation Support in-store tastings and special events when needed Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions. Familiarity with cash handling processes and point-of-sale systems is a plus. A proactive attitude towards learning about products and sales techniques is essential.
Qualifications :
Prior retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred Interest in wine (formal knowledge not required – we’ll train!) Must be comfortable lifting and handling wine cases Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Must be 21+ years of age
