Position Overview The Store Lead plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and their pets, and supporting business growth. This position does not carry full managerial responsibilities but is expected to independently lead the store’s day-to-day activities and represent our brand with enthusiasm and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and product recommendations Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times Receive inventory shipments, rotate stock, and maintain product displays Assist with marketing initiatives and participate in community events Actively reach out to potential new customers in person and online Handle transactions using POS system and follow cash handling procedures Complete tasks and projects assigned by ownership in a timely, thorough manner Communicate clearly with management on store updates, issues, and needs Qualifications Previous retail or customer service experience required Experience in pet retail or pet care is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, dependable, and able to work independently Must be comfortable engaging with customers and handling pets Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
