- Screen Printing We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Ink Room Technician to join our dynamic screen-printing team.
This vital role ensures precise ink mixing, accurate color matching, and efficient inventory management to support top-quality print production. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced print environment, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for precision and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately mix inks according to job specifications, utilizing the Pantone Matching System (PMS) or custom color formulas.
- Maintain organized inventory of inks, labeling, and storing materials properly.
- Clean and maintain all ink containers, tools, and mixing equipment to ensure safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with press operators and the art department to ensure color accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare ink batches in advance of scheduled production runs to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Monitor and document ink usage per job for cost control and reporting purposes.
- Handle chemicals safely, adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Assist in keeping the ink room clean, organized, and compliant with safety and environmental standards.
- Communicate supply shortages or equipment issues promptly to management.
- Support pre-press activities such as screen coating or reclaiming when trained.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in screen printing, ink mixing, or a related role preferred.
- Strong understanding of color theory and proficiency with the Pantone Matching System (PMS).
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Schedule & Compensation:
