In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in maintaining the store’s appearance, managing inventory, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. Ideal candidates will have experience in a grocery store or retail environment and possess strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions and returns. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and ensuring product displays are well-presented. Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management, pricing, and sales reporting. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and store operations. Uphold phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries, ensuring professionalism at all times. Assist in training new employees on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers. Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions and inventory management. Experience with POS systems is a plus.
