The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the art of cigar rolling. This role requires the ability to craft high-quality cigars while providing excellent customer service in a retail environment. The Cigar Roller will be responsible for creating cigars that meet our quality standards and enhancing the overall customer experience. Responsibilities Roll premium cigars using high-quality tobacco leaves, ensuring consistency in size and appearance. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold hygiene and quality standards. Engage with customers to provide information about different cigar varieties, enhancing their purchasing experience. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing sales through the POS system. Assist in inventory management by stocking supplies and monitoring stock levels of tobacco and related products. Upsell additional products to customers, leveraging knowledge of cigars and accessories to drive sales. Supervise junior staff members or interns as needed, providing training on rolling techniques and customer service best practices. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations within the retail environment. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, particularly in a cigar or tobacco setting, is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with an understanding of retail math concepts. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members, fostering a positive shopping experience. Experience with POS systems is advantageous for processing transactions efficiently. Knowledge of cigars, including various types, flavors, and rolling techniques, is a plus. A passion for the craft of cigar rolling and a desire to learn more about the industry will be highly regarded.
