Apply to join us as an in-storeDepartment Manager. What You’ll Do As a Department Manager, youwill own a department, and focus on maximizing its sales,inventory, and standards. Department Managers have the power toimpact the business daily, by managing inventory, moving product inaccordance with customer demand, reviewing and managing planogramsand period layouts, and by being commercial (meaning that you’llknow what is trending and thus order your merchandise daily todrive sales). You will keep an eye on the local market to maintaina competitive advantage in price, product, and shopping experience.

You will use data to gain full knowledge of your department’sperformance to drive sales and meet targets and manage stock fileaccuracy for your department. As the leader of your department, youwill hire, train, coach and motivate a team of Sales Associates andTeam Leaders. This is crucial to ensuring your department deliversan exceptional shopping experience for every customer and apositive work environment for every colleague. What You’ll Bring To be successful in this role, you will have atleast 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced,high-volume environment and demonstrate strong commercial acumen.

Our Department Managers typically join us with retail experience aseither a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or DepartmentManager.

  • You are nimble and adaptable, being able to flex yourplans and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will havestrong communication skills and the ability to relate to customer’sneeds.
  • A role model who can lead, motivate, and inspire the team,who builds confidence and enthusiasm, enabling the team to deliverexcellent store standards and customer service.
  • Resilient with aproven ability to lead a team and confident in giving constructivefeedback to others.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding oflocal market, key competitors and how the use of relevant systemsand tools can improve option control and drive sales.
  • Goodplanning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working withinagreed timescales.
  • Experience supporting store management withthe protection of people, property and premises by securing cash,stock and property. Keyholder responsibility including availabilityfor emergency call outs.
  • Ability to effectively manage difficultsituations and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Position holdermust be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally andin writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues inEnglish to provide instruction, coaching, corrective action, safetyinstructions and lead teams as a manager daily and in emergencies.

Position holder must also be able to provide amazing customerservice in English, which includes being able to orally communicatewith customers in English and monitor the performance ofEnglish-speaking colleagues whose job duties require communicationwith customers. The pay range for this role is: $58,700 -$71,760 This is a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum wewould pay for this role at the time of this posting. The base payrate offered will account for internal equity and may varydepending on the candidate’s geographic region of work, job-relatedknowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
