Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner. Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products. Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos. Process transactions accurately using a cash register, handling cash and credit card payments. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively upsell items. Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service. Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for all customers. Skills Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management. Proficiency in retail math concepts to analyze sales data and inventory levels. Experience with cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. Ability to perform product demonstrations that engage customers and highlight key features. Proven ability to sell products through effective upselling techniques. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Supervisory skills are a plus for mentoring new associates or leading small teams.
