This is not a “work-camper” position. We are not offering lodging/campsite accommodations. Candidates must live locally and be able to commute to the job site.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
Afternoon Shift
- Meet with early shift host to get an update of any special priorities
- Restrooms
- check condition, quick pick up as needed
- Clean Check on pool area, game room, pavilion, putting green, laundry
- Check Grills
- make sure the bottom tray, grease catcher and top grills are clean
- Check walkways/perimeter of guesthouse: pick up any trash, debris, palm fronds
- Check all propane tanks; fill low/empty tanks, grills, cabin firepits
- Keep a lookout for late check in’s Evening close:
- Make sure the building/maintenance areas and pool gates are locked and secured.
- Final clean check of restrooms
- make sure doors are locked
- Pool area
- close umbrellas, put away games, turn off TV and lights
- Put away: golf clubs, golf balls, corn hole bags, flags in holes
- Lock back storage shed.
Use chain to close off back area
Both Shifts:
THE CRUIZE
…..Throughout your shift drive through the campground and look for opportunities to make our campground environment even better!
- Dead foliage
- Dispose of any palm fronds / dead vegetation
- Debris
- Pick up any trash, any time you see it. Be on the look-out !
- Help host special events and activities such as: Hot dog roasts, camper breakfasts, craft classes … just to name a few!
- Mulch
- Rake mulch back into landscapes Add mulch if needed
- Ruts in the grass
- Fix every rut, every time. Hard rake? Add topsoil?
- Inspect
- Look for any safety issues
- Dumpsters
- doors always closed /pick up trash in front of and behind the bins
On Call:
- Fill Propane and follow all procedures /must be authorized to dispense.
- Assist with dump station
- Firewood and ice delivery
- Fire bowl rental delivery. Document inventory sheet when dropping off/picking up.
- Landscaping as needed. Raking, weeding, weed-eating, watering, and mulching
- Meter readings
- Security
- Report all disturbances to the campground manager.
- Report situations that could affect the health and safety of visitors and report any maintenance items which need immediate attention to the campground manager
- Reset breakers as needed
- Camper issues
- TV cable, questions
- Host camper activities and events as needed/assigned by campground manager Check in’s
- The goal is to “WOW” our customers! We have one chance to make a first impression. We need to make sure that we take advantage of preparing their site for an amazing camping experience.
- Make sure the campsite is inspected BEFORE our guests arrive
- Greet our new guests
- Bring our guests to the campsite and guide them in
- Answer any questions they may have regarding the campground
- Show location of utilities and proper use Check out’s
- Turn off breakers
- Sewer caps are on and tight
- Pick up campsite as needed
- As needed: clean out fire pits/grills, return fire bowls, wipe down chairs/tables. Document any missing or damaged items. Expectations
- If a guest is within earshot
- always greet them!
- If you see a guest and they are not within earshot
- always wave and smile!
- Provide superior guest service by being enthusiastic, attentive, friendly and helpful.
- Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition and a proper KOA uniform and name tag.
- Handle all guest issues with respect by listening and acknowledging their concern.
- Follow all KOA guidelines and procedures regarding the handling of registrations, reservations, store sales and refunds.
- Handle daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning programs as requested by the Campground Manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
- Ability to respond to telephone calls, hear issues, give direction while viewing computer screens
- Long periods of standing (80%)
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb
- Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
SPECIFIC DUTIES

- Follow specific KOA cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card, and various other front desk equipment.
- Handle daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning programs as requested by the Campground Manager
- Help host special events and activities such as: Hot dog roasts, camper breakfasts, craft classes … just to name a few!
- Promote local attractions, as well as the KOA system, through KOA Rewards, referrals to other KOA locations, and being knowledgeable of all national and local advertising and discount programs.
