Body Shop Estimator/Customer Service ALSET Collision 604 North Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles for damage and identify necessary repairs
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software
- Communicate with customers to explain repair process and provide cost breakdowns
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate repair timelines and completion
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, estimates, and customer interactions
- Coordinate with insurance companies for claim processing and approvals
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and procedures
- Proficient in using industry-standard estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Audatex)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately assess vehicle damage
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of insurance claim procedures is preferred but not required
Skills:
- Suspension repair knowledge
- Tire service expertise
- Brake repair experience
- Sales skills for upselling additional services
- Knowledge of shocks and struts replacement
- Service writing abilities for accurate documentation
- Mechanic background for understanding repair processes
- Automotive repair knowledge including oil changes and general maintenance
