Summary As a Distribution Team Member, you’ll have the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside others to prepare items for shipment and arrange products onto vehicles for transportation; all while utilizing safe work practices and producing quality results to meet the Company’s on time in full (OTIF) objectives. Responsibilities
Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or other equipment.
Applies proper ergonomic techniques to maneuver material weighing more than 90 pounds throughout the warehouse and onto vehicles
Scans labels to document placement of product
Work effectively in teams to meet company objectives.
Compares items packed with customer’s order and other identifying data
Identify missing, lost, or damaged material and immediately notify Supervisor
Completes storage and material flow/shipment tasks, and develops an understanding of packaging needs
Ensures all products are safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
Demonstrates safe operation of Material Handling equipment
Assists with the training of newly hired Team Members
Follows a range of mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Able to identify incoming quality issues and notify correct parties for resolution.
Able to perform accurate system transactions with a hand-held scanner or at computer terminal with a 100% accuracy.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards

Must demonstrate understanding of shipping menus on AS400 and product knowledge
Must be comfortable operating conveyance equipment
