Parts/Sales Counter Clerk Location:

St Augustine, FL Randstad is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Sales Counter Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their lumber, parts, and tool needs, providing exceptional service, and driving sales. We are looking for a candidate who is not just an order-taker, but a proactive sales professional with the ability to upsell and build lasting customer relationships.

No Degree Required Responsibilities Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service to both contractors and DIY customers.
Assist customers in selecting the correct lumber, parts, and tools for their projects.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of lumber products, hardware, and tools.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
Proactively upsell additional products and services to maximize sales.
Maintain a clean and organized counter area.
Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and verifying orders.
Build and maintain relationships with regular customers.
Stay up-to-date on new products, industry trends, and sales promotions.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in the lumber or construction industry.
Must have knowledge of lumber products, parts, and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to upsell and drive sales.
Customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills, including POS systems and inventory management software.
Math skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
