JOB FUNCTION

The Flooring Sales Professional is responsible for working with our customers to identify their flooring needs and tastes, as well as provide functional and attractive solutions by combining colors and textures to fit their tastes Additionally, our Sales Professionals will be responsible for, but not limited to; Meeting and greeting our retail customers, working with our Pro Customers (Builders, Contractors, Designers) as well as prospecting new business. $45K Annual Draw Salary with opportunity of Monthly Commission –

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meets with our customers in our Showrooms, in their home, or virtually to determine preferences, purpose and function, types of materials and budget when planning their projects.
• Advises customers about interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishing, equipment, color schemes and color coordination.
• Integrates findings and knowledge of interior design to formulate a plan and sell the appropriate products to complete the plan.
• Renders design ideas in the form of drawings or illustrations, estimates material requirements and costs, and presents design(s) for approval.
• Be very organized and self motivated with an emphasis on customer service, estimating and diligent follow up.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2) years of flooring and interior design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
• Flooring experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic mathematical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with urgency.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner along with gather and analyze information skillfully.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
