Job Description
The UPS Store Retail Associate 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 1601 Ga Highway 40 East, Kingsland, GA 31548 The Ups Store Retail Shipping Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to customers by offering solutions that best fit their needs such as receiving, packing, and processing packages for shipment as well as making copies, sending faxes, binding papers, laminating papers, as well as checking customers out on a point-of-sale device. In order to do this, the associate must be familiar with the services, pricing, equipment, and processes. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, and the ability to serve a variety of customers (including customers that might be frustrated). They must be a fast learner who makes that can learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time and be a a team-player. The UPS Store is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am-6:30pm, Saturdays from 8:30am-4:30pm and Sunday 11am-4pm. The customer service associate must be willing and able to work any of these days.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver world-class customer service to customers (both in-person and on the phone) Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution Offer solutions that fit the customer’s needs. Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools Operate all equipment and computer software effectively Keep work area clean and safe Work respectfully and effectively with other team members Amazon Returns Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Outstanding Customer Service skills (including communication and interpersonal skills) Ability to lift 50 pounds from the counter to the packing area Prompt, reliable, and responsible Neat, clean, and professional appearance Strong technical skills, including computers, POS systems, printers and fax machines Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
