Are you a golf enthusiast looking for a rewarding part-time position? The Henderson Golf Course is seeking a Golf Shop Representative to provide exceptional hospitality and customer service. Examples of Duties Under general supervision, you Perform a variety of general clerical, administrative support, and information dissemination services in a fast-paced environment. Operate a point-of-sale system, accepting cash, checks, and/or credit card payments for merchandise and/or services such as rounds of golf. Reconcile the financial transactions for the shift and/or day. Answer telephone calls, distribute mail, receive and greet visitors, prepare correspondence and other documents, and process various information, forms, records, and data. Obtain a working knowledge of golf activities and protocols to ensure proper golf course operations, follow up on complaints, and respond to citizens’ questions and comments. Monitor pace of play. Serve as a central communication point within the department. Use your interpersonal skills as you work with and encounter various people. Perform your duties and responsibilities accurately, quickly, and often under time-sensitive deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, and At least one (1) year of general office operations and/or customer service experience; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have knowledge of the golf environment. Clerical testing will be required during the interview process for selected candidates. During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team. In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing. Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
