Experience in related field is preferred but not required. Applicant must be willing to work some nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 30lbs. Responsibilities Ask customers if they need help finding any items. Always be polite and help customers to their car if needed Cashier duties Check for out of stock/low items on the shelves and replace missing items. This includes the wine and beer aisles. Make a list and pull cases from the back room. Merchandize displays on liquor and wine aisles Push the beer cooler forward and stock any missing products. Put back stock in the cooler of the quicker selling items Organize the back room and make space for future deliveries Bring brown paper bags from the back room if needed behind the counter Keep a clean work space behind the counter, throw away any clutter on the counter Organize boxes in front of the store and remove any cardboard on the sidewalk Dust bottles on shelves when needed Dust map/vacuum the sales floor and rugs nightly Mop the sales floor and behind the counter when needed Qualifications Must have a postive attitude and be dependable Previous experience in retail is preferred. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and phone etiquette. Reliable and punctual work ethic Knowledge of or interest in wine, spirits and beer ( or willingness to learn) Ability to operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently. Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive rapport with customers. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
