We serve over 1000 men, women, and children every day by providing food, shelter, clothing, counseling, vocational and spiritual guidance. We get to experience and witness radical life transformations. Each day Atlanta Mission receives items generously donated in order to resale in our Thrift Stores. This ensures financial revenue that allows us to provide programming for homeless men, women, and children 365 days per year. As a Part-time Associate, you will serve within our ministry by directly impacting our ability to serve those in need by receiving and selling items donated for resale, which generates revenue.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs sales of all types of inventory and prepares donations as needed Helps maintain store appearance Meets customer needs Operates the cash register Handles incoming calls, donations, sales, and customer complaints Process donations as needed Participates in Thrift team activities as needed Attends Mission-wide meetings and training as appropriate Performs other duties as assigned You will uphold the following Christ-centered values:

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
Must have working, experience-based knowledge of retail sales (thrift sales strongly preferred) Interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of individuals Strong conflict resolution/customer services skills Well organized, diligent and strong following through on commitments Proven ability to be a self-starter Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using the US dollar
