Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed throughout their shopping experience. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Process sales using Point of Sale (POS) systems and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items to customers. Stock shelves and organize merchandise on the sales floor to ensure a visually appealing shopping environment. Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies. Provide support in supervising junior staff members when necessary, ensuring a collaborative team atmosphere. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. Provide consignors with inforamtion on consigning and their accounts. Requirements Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills is essential for managing transactions accurately. Familiarity with retail math concepts will be beneficial in understanding sales performance metrics. Ability to operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently.
