Job Description
Basic Job Function :
Provide detailed personal guest services to guests, including arranging and booking all activities and making any special arrangements necessary prior to arrival. Provide formal but friendly butler services and assist guests in planning their stay while on property. Assist with guest folio of charges throughout their stay and co-ordinate checkout procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 2 years Guest Service Experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of the local area is an advantage. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to maintain excellent professional presentation and grooming. Dress Code Policy Tasks/Responsibilities:
Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform. Contact guests and assist with personalized services. Arrange, record, deliver and charge all special requests for arriving guests. Greet guest at the entrance to their room/suite. Tour guests through their room, present keys and have the guest sign registration cards. Operate and help guests with equipment such as web TV in their room/suite. Offer personalized services including packing/unpacking and organization of guest belongings, pressing, laundry management, shoe shining and a description of all room amenities. Create an extra special moment for the guest at every opportunity. Have a comprehensive understanding of all Sea Island menus offered in outlets and be able to communicate these to guests. Communicate movement of guests to all resort outlets, ensuring proper service and recognition. Inspect guest rooms prior to guest checking in. Inspect, present and clear all food and beverage items ordered by the guest. Provide any secretarial needs. Present folio upon departure. Assist guests with luggage and transport arrangements. Maintain a well stocked pantry so all items’ guests may request are at hand at all times. Demonstrate the ability to operate seamlessly with all departments. Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support) Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Physical Requirements:
Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods Must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 70 lbs intermittently throughout a shift Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards Ability to maintain compliance with Sea Island’s Company Resort Professional Image Policy
