PURPOSE:
The Inventory Control Team Member compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies Inventory requirements. Operates and maintains automated data processing equipment to perform product accounting, computations, and research. Stores, maintains, issues, and delivers raw materials
Assists/Coordinates year-end inventory
Daily inventory control – monitor and resolve discrepancies, which includes:
Negative inventory Product listed in primary location
Product in receiving and research locations
Physically preforms inventory transfers as well as enters those movements within the operating system
Monitor and work with Inventory Coordinator with old/obsolete inventory disposition
Complies safety, security, and environmental directives and practices
Prepares documentation indicating identification and quantity of assets
Warehouses stock items, maintains storage area infrastructure and facilities
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Must be able to work any shift
Must have the ability to stand during an entire shift as well as must have the ability to lift and carry 60lbs up and down stairs
Previous forklift experience required
COMPETENCIES
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with changing concrete variables with limited supervision
Prior JD Edwards and SAP experience a plus
Self-motivated and detailed-oriented.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company.
Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player
Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results
Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business
