Hardware Store Clerk

• Zachary Evaluation Hire $17-20/HR Monday-Friday 7 am
• 4:30 pm, every other Saturday 8 am
• 12 pm Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Hardware Store Clerk for a local Distribution company in East Baton Rouge Parish .

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

for

Hardware Store Clerk:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Provide product information, advice, and recommendations Restock shelves, organize displays, and maintain store cleanliness Operate cash registers and process sales accurately Receive, unpack, and stock inventory Handle customer returns and exchanges in line with store policies Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries Stay up to date on product lines, store promotions, and inventory changes Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed

Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous retail or hardware experience is a plus, but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Willingness to learn about hardware, tools, and home improvement products
