The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be skilled in supervising teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints and manage project schedules effectively. We are a high end manufacturer of wood products, cabinetry, and use industrial finishing through most projects. Responsibilities Supervise daily shop operations and manage a team of skilled workers. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Read and interpret blueprints to guide the construction process. Schedule projects effectively to meet deadlines while optimizing resource allocation. Utilize construction management software to track project progress and manage contracts. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials, including the use of an ohmmeter for electrical components. Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of safety and quality workmanship. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction or manufacturing industry. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations. Experience with project scheduling tools and construction management software as well as LEAN practices. Ability to build effective teams through strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of pipeline construction processes is a plus. Must possess problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
