  Spherion has two openings for a temp, possible temp to hire, position as a Shop Hand for a local oil & gas related company in Broussard, LA.

The ideal candidate would have experience in a warehouse or shop, preferably within the oil & gas, including shop maintenance and organization, equipment handling and preparation, shipping/receiving, and inventory.

Rate of Pay:

$16-18/hr. Depending on experience

Schedule:

M-F 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Dress code: Steel toes, pants/jeans and neat shirt.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and organizing the shop and surrounding areas.
• General upkeep and maintenance of the shop and facilities.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace for safe and efficient handling of goods and equipment.
• Performing general maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and attachments.
• Retrieving equipment for rental.
• Inspecting equipment before and after rentals.
• Preparing components for tooling projects.
• Assisting with loading and unloading equipment.
• Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Organizing tools and parts inventory.
• Stocking raw materials. …
• Communicating effectively with employees, vendors, and customers.
• Communicating with shop mechanics, shop foreman, and management.

PM Skills:

Experience with cleaning, assembling, and disassembling oilfield rental tools.

Education:

High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

Warehouse/Shop experience
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Good listening and verbal communication skills.
